I'm thinking that Wesley Clark is no longer on any short list for Obama's VP. His comments on McCain probably did him in. He said that being in that fighter plane and being shot down does not qualify one to be president. Now, actually, that is true. Being a prisoner for 5+ years doesn't qualify you either. Nor does refusing early release so you don't leave any other fellow Americans behind. None of that indeed is an automatic qualifier to be president.
But, do you think Obama wants Clark out there saying that stuff? Nope. I don't think Clark will be welcome campaigning on behalf of Obama anymore. In fact, I'm sure at some point Obama will say, "That is not the Wesley Clark I knew."
